What do I love about photography? Telling a story with a single frame. It’s easier with a book and pages of description, or a film with 24 frames crammed into every second, but there’s a specific skill to conveying a story with a single frame of luminous film.
I’ve only been doing this for 4 years, and if you believe Henri Cartier-Bresson’s famous quote, “Your first 10,000 photographs are the worst” I’ve got a bit further to go. It took a while to find my niche, realising that digital wildlife photography wasn’t quite what I wanted, and now I’m happy with medium format film for my portrait, street and fine art work. Here’s to a few more years of telling stories through photography.
I don’t like posting words on here, but I guess this is special.
